Seeking Guidance on Escalating Salesforce Certification Exam Issue (OnVUE Technical Failure)

Hello Trailblazer Community,

I'm looking for guidance from anyone who has experienced a similar situation or knows the appropriate escalation path within the Salesforce Certification program.

I was scheduled to take a Salesforce certification exam through the Pearson VUE OnVUE platform. Prior to the exam, the OnVUE system flagged an issue on my laptop. I immediately addressed the issue and verified that the corrective action had been completed. However, the OnVUE application continued to report the issue and would not allow me to proceed with the exam.

As a result, I was unable to launch the exam and ultimately missed the scheduled appointment. The failure appears to have been related to the testing platform's inability to recognize that the issue had already been resolved, rather than a lack of compliance on my part.

I opened a support case with Salesforce Trailhead/Certification Support immediately after the incident. Unfortunately, despite providing details of the situation, I have not been successful in obtaining a resolution or reinstatement of my exam attempt.

At this point, I am respectfully seeking advice on the following:

  • Has anyone successfully escalated a similar certification-related issue?
  • Is there a Certification Operations, Credentialing, or management escalation path that can review cases involving technical failures during the exam launch process?

I am simply seeking a fair review of a situation where a technical issue prevented me from taking an exam that I had prepared for and scheduled in good faith.

I appreciate any guidance, recommendations, or experiences that others in the community are willing to share.

Thank you.

Mo Ahmed
