Hi Tableau Support Team,

I have created a table in Tableau where different contracts have data starting from different dates. Some contracts have data available from 2025, while others start from 2026.

I have created a calculated field to display the data starting from February 2025. However, when I apply a filter for a specific contract, the table does not display the required date range if that contract's data starts at a later date.

For example, the contract named Mercy has data available starting from January 2026. When I filter the table for the Mercy contract, the date range starts from January 2026 instead of February 2025.

Expected Behavior:

I would like the table to display the date range starting from February 2025 for every selected contract, regardless of when the actual data for that contract begins. For dates where no data is available, I would like the date columns or rows to remain visible, with blank or null values where appropriate.

Actual Behavior:

When I select a contract such as Mercy, Tableau displays the dates only from the contract's actual data start date (January 2026) and does not display the earlier dates starting from February 2025.

Assistance Required:

Could you please help me understand how to configure Tableau to display a consistent date range starting from February 2025 for all contracts, even when some contracts have no data available for the earlier period?

Please suggest the appropriate approach, such as using a calendar/date scaffold, a date domain, or any other suitable Tableau functionality.

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards
