Does anyone have experience merging knowledge from another org into an existing knowledge base? I have a scenario where an acquired company will be merging their knowledge into our main org. They have been using knowledge for awhile in their own org and have different layouts, custom fields, reporting, data category usage, etc. My current plan is to assess their process and see what's absolutely necessary vs what can be changed, compare audiences and internal users with those in our main org, and then integrate in some way that doesn't create a special case scenario for one corner of our kbase. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
@David Thornburg I actually just typed up a blog post about this today for my company. The blog is going through the marketing polish, but it outlines some key items to be aware of when migrating knowledge, primarily in the restrictions of Salesforce's Knowledge API and the migration of images.
