Syncing volunteer hours to an Outlook calendar?

My client is hoping to sync volunteer hour records to an Outlook calendar, which is what they use to see a schedule of who is on-site on a particular day. I know there's the volunteer calendar with VfS, but they're specifically wondering about how to get those hour records to show up in Outlook. I think Zapier could be used, but wondering what else people have done!

With the help of this article, I was able to create an apex class that generates an ICS feed based on records in the Volunteer Shift object. In the article there is a link to a zip file with some sample code to start from. https://dayback.com/subscribe-to-a-salesforce-calendar-public-ics-feed/
