We have student information and class enrollments on EDA in Salesforce.
Our non-profit has been very hesitant to put assessment scores and grades
on Salesforce due to student data security issues. School Districts seem to feel most
comfortable with us using Box to store the data, but that's in efficient.
Input from other EDA users. Do you store student data in Salesforce? Are permission sets and sharing rules enough to protect student data within the org?

Unlike Google Drive or Box, Salesforce doesn't encrypt org data at rest unless you're paying extra for Salesforce Shield. My understanding is that data is stored in plaintext on their servers, unless you pay extra.
