Hi all,

I am wondering if WhatsApp can be used in digital payment companies and if so, in which cases?.

I can imagine that digital payment companies (e.g. PayPal, Amazon, etc.) can not make use of WhatsApp for helping customers when they have some questions using WhatsApp as this would require customers to send them (Customer Service) sensitive data.

I had the experience of implementing WhatsApp for customer service outside of the business hours but in the retail sector. In digital payment companies they have to be more compliant with certain rules (e.g. GDPR).

Does anyone have such experience or can say if WhatsApp is being used by some digital payment companies even if working with sensitive data?

Whatsapp can be integrated with Salesforce for several usecases like below:

    1) To check the account balance using interactive Whatsapp messaging.

    2) Checking the last 10 transactions made from the account.

    3) Checking the status of any scheduled transaction

    4) Making an appointment with the agent.

    5) Requesting for any new service details (like steps for opening a new Demat account)

Most of these do not include any PIIs. Besides, all the usual usecases of Whatsapp as a marketing tool, like doing promotions and spearding awareness about any offer or event are also possible using Whatsapp.
