Hitting the ground running, around blindly

I am an out of work teacher (by choice) and as the saying goes, a little greyer than most, and stumbled upon Salesforce in a short-lived stint with a mis-managed call center. Even though I couldnt get away from the call center fast enough, I was left very curious about Salesforce and then I stumbled upon this program. I am eager, have alot of time on my hands, but am stumbling around. I am completing beginning badges, but just am not sure what path I am actually on, or even want to be on. Suggestions, links to articles, any information at all is greatly appreciated. The only journeys that are ensured to fail are the ones that are never started...so thanks for helping me get started. #MyTrailblazerStory
