We have a requirement to grant all AVP's to have View All access to Tasks that created by subordinates under another AVP. I tried creating a permission set on Task object, but unlike all objects Task object doesn't have View All and Modify All access. Our OWD on Activity Object is set to 'Private'. Is there a way we are opening entire org's Tasks visibility to AVP's irrespective of their role?

The simplest solution in our case was to create a "dummy" contact record and ask the users to use that when creating a calendar event that doesn't belong to anyone.
I didn't go down the automatic sharing assignment rule.
