 Trouble with “Audit_Notes__c” field not recognized on “Energy_Audit__c” object, 

 I’ve created the Energy_Audit__c custom object and added the Audit_Notes__c field as a Text Area (Long) with 5 visible lines. Feed tracking is enabled, and the field name and type are correct. Still getting the error

I am working on Customize Record Page Components and Fields, I have followed all of the challenge directions, but am still getting an error "We can't find the default record page for the Contact object...."

The challenge directions are a little limited, so I have a feeling I am doing something in the wrong location.

 

Error Message When Checking Challenge

Challenge not yet complete in Protect Your Data in Salesforce

"We can't find the default record page for the Contact object. Be sure to activate and assign a record page as Org Default."

 

I updated the following step in a specific person's contact "Rose Gonzalez" - Is this step to be done somewhere else?

Step: Remove these fields from the page: 

Fax

Other Phone

Home Phone

 

I saved the "Edit Page" layout to Org Default when I selected "Activation".

 

I am working on Customize Record Page Components and Fields, I have followed all of the challenge directions, but am still getting an error

    • Please double check if the challenge is done in the same org as you are checking.

    You can try accessing it in incognito mode on your current browser. logout & login

    If it works, you can clear your cache and cookies. Alternatively, try logging in using a different browser. 

     

    if still facing error create a new playground and do same form the scratch

Any advice for first time project?

I am working on my first project as a BA and I’ll also lead as the project manager. Looking for any advice, resources, templates, tools or videos that can help me be more successful. I’ll be creating a custom application as well so pretty much doing the entire project myself. I want to document everything to put in my portfolio and appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks!

    Hello @Yoddit McLean, it will depend on the methodology / tooling you will need to use.

    You can have a look at Agile methodology to design functionally the business requirements, and make your client validate them before implementing them. You can use any tools your company may have (Jira for product definition and sprint planning, Confluence for documentation) or Agile Accelerator Labs to do it in your Salesforce instance (https://appexchange.salesforce.com/appxListingDetail?listingId=a0N30000000ps3jEAA)

Update Page Layout for New Event Tab on Opportunity

Hello!

I am trying to update the "New Event" Page Layout that I have placed on the Opportunity Page and remove the Category field. This is a Lightning Action, but I am unable to find where I can change this layout. I am using the Standard button for New Event and there are no Record Types and only 1 Page Layout on the Event object.  Any suggestions on where to look?

    You can go to Setup -> home -> search global Action -> click on Global Action -> click on the New Event -> Click Edit Layout -> Click on Save.
