Hi folks! I just started this week at my new job as an admin. I want to run the optimizer on the production instance to get a better understanding of the configuration and any shortcomings they may have. That said, is there any implication of running it during operational hours that anybody can think of?

Hi Team!
I just started working with Salesforce and am going through the videos to get a better understanding of how it works!
I have a question I think you'll be able to answer faster though.
I want to import all our existing customer accounts into Salesforce and be able to track which of our products they buy. I also want to be able to track the history of those products, i.e. if they discontinue them, and start up at a later date again. What would be the best way to implement this into our system?
Thanks!
Mette
2019年6月13日 15:51 Hi @Mette Doesburg - yes, I'd track the product via the Opportunity object for your case, it sounds pretty straightforward and should achieve what you're trying to do. Maybe you can create a few "opportunities" and see how they look and if they're sufficient for your needs?
Product is closely related to Price Books and you can find more here (
https://trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/modules/sales_admin_products_quotes_contracts/sales_admin_products_quotes_contracts_unit_1) and here for a lot more details (https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=products_pricebooks.htm&type=5). This feature is not available on the Essentials edition of Salesforce.

Once we get the app in the app exchange and we try to market it. Can we get data about customers and how they are using SFDC to get a better understanding of whom to reach out to?
