This is a public group for discussion around the Agentforce Nonprofit product (formerly called Nonprofit Cloud) which was launched in March 2023. This is a new purpose-built solution built on the Salesforce Platform for Nonprofits. Use this group for questions and discussion about the Nonprofit Cloud. NOTE: Agentforce Nonprofit uses a different architecture than the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP). Hi Nonprofit Community! Weekly Roundup - Sept 11

 

Before I dive into the usual Friday updates, wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that it's September 11th - 25 years since September 11th, 2001. Just wanted to pause and remember those we lost, those who lost loved ones, and everyone impacted in any way. Feels weird to simply keep chugging along sometimes, so wanted to pause, acknowledge, and remember <3  

 

Now, let's take a look at what's going on in the Nonprofit Salesforce world this week - as we've got this event called DREAMFORCE NEXT WEEK! Even if you can't attend in SF, there are options for ways to get involved on Salesforce+ virtually, in Dreamforce 2 U events following, etc. Chime in on the comments if there are other hot topics you'd like to share too :)

Salesforce Agentforce Nonprofit Cloud Certification

Hi Nonprofit Cloud Community 👋

I’m currently preparing for my Salesforce Agentforce Nonprofit Cloud Certification and would really appreciate some help.

Does anyone have practice questions, or mock exams, they can share or recommend for preparation?

I have been doing the NPC trails but would appreciate to get some exam materials.

    AI did not give you a great answer on this one. The Power of Us Hub community was folded in here to the main Trailblazer Community and shut down back in 2021 or 2022.

    While you might find sample exams out there, they're all AI slop garbage from what I've seen. Stay away. Your best bet is the official Trailmix for the exam, along with getting Learner Orgs, Developer orgs (links to sign up are in the trails where there are hands-on components). This is an exam where context, hands-on experience, and domain familiarity will make all the difference. 

     

    The questions are not long, and are all the more modern 1 out of 3 choices.

    Too many overlapping keynotes I think. I don't see it on the live schedule but wouldn't hurt to check the day of - things change!

Fundraising intelligence setup error

Hi!  

While configuring the Funraising Intelligence, the last step, Install Fundraising Intelligence, fail in the middle. The app is not listed in the Apps after. 

Any tips? Salesforce support?  

 

Failed to create Semantic Model [NPC_Semantic_Model] from template [sfdc_internal__npc], error: [Failed to Create SDM [Invalid data object field: Creation of semantic entity NPC_Semantic_Model failed. caused by: The referenced Data Cloud fields ([ssot__LastStageChangeDate__c, ssot__LastActivityDate__c]) could not be found in the referenced DMO or CI (ssot__Opportunity__dlm). For DMOs, ensure that the referenced fields are properly mapped.]]

    Hi Deepak,

    Thank you for the information. I have already verified and completed the prerequisites you mentioned:

    • Data 360 is provisioned and enabled in the org. 
    • Fundraising Settings are enabled under Setup. 
    •  I have created the required Data Streams for the objects included in the Fundraising Bundle. 
    •  The Data Streams have been processed successfully, and I have also refreshed/processed the corresponding records. 
    • Tableau Next licenses are also provisioned in the org. 

    However, even after completing these configurations, I still cannot find “Fundraising Intelligence” anywhere in Setup / Quick Find.

    This is a Nonprofit Trail org on Enterprise Edition, so I’m wondering if there is another prerequisite that is not exposed through Setup—for example, a specific Nonprofit Cloud Fundraising license, feature entitlement, permission set/license, Tableau Next entitlement, or org-level provisioning that needs to be enabled by Salesforce.

    Could you please clarify whether Fundraising Intelligence is actually supported/provisioned in the Nonprofit Trail org (Enterprise Edition), or whether it requires a specific production/sandbox org type or additional Salesforce entitlement?

    If the feature should be available in this type of Trail org, is there any specific permission set, permission set license, package, feature toggle, or provisioning step that I should verify?

    I’d really appreciate any guidance on what I might be missing, as the standard prerequisites appear to be already configured in my org.

Does anyone currently have an NPC to Sage Intacct integration (custom or via AppExchange)?

We are exploring connecting Salesforce NPC to Sage Intacct (a one way integration). Does anyone in this group currently have an integration set up from NPC to Intacct, whether it's via the AppExchange or custom built? Would love to connect!

    We have an integration between our Salesforce Org (with NPSP, not exactly NPC) and Sage Intacct - It's the Intacct Advanced CRM Integration 

    Ours is a 2 way integration, with specific information going in a single direction either way

Structure of a Program

I have the following program structure and I would like to know if this will workStructure of a Program

Where will Start Date, and Opening and End Test be recorded ?

    Read the guide and I’d suggest getting a learner org which has sample data.

    The Unit of Measure would be something like “Hours” or “items” Think through what the *Delivery* of a single benefit to a constituent would be. Attendance is tracked in Benefit Disbursement that is connected to a Session. Not Unit of Measure.

    For a project I worked on, I tracked Grades on Benefit Schedule Assignment. Or it could be on Benefit Assignment.

Help on Benefit Schedules

Hi, is there a Help source or document on how to set up Benefit Schedules and Assignments in AFNP? I suppose there is the Trailhead information, but is that enough?

    Benefit schedules can be a tricky beast to get your head around in Nonprofit Cloud. The Program Management Implementation Guide is certainly worth having to hand, although practical examples can sometimes make more sense than documentation alone. The Trailhead modules covering attendance and benefit tracking should help with the fundamentals. I think the most important part is understanding how benefit schedules connect with programme participation and outcome measurement. There is a dedicated Trailhead module covering attendance and benefit tracking in Nonprofit Cloud that should address the core questions. If you are still stuck afterwards, similar Trailblazer Community discussions may also offer useful screenshots and examples.

Dashboards for Program Management

Hi - I've been asked to create some dashboards for the Program Management app. 

Does anyone have suggestions for useful dashboards, and where can I find them?

    Program management dashboards are most effective when they start with clear questions rather than simply putting lots of data on a screen. The key is identifying what programme managers actually need to see daily, weekly, and monthly. For organisations still developing their data structure, getting the report types right before designing dashboards can save a lot of rework. The Nonprofit Cloud Best Practices Open Source group also has examples that can be adapted to different needs. Trailhead has several modules covering dashboard creation too. I would start simple, see what people actually use, and add complexity only when there is a clear reason for it.

Please does know a good a good card scan app they can recommend for a non profit Org

Please I am need of help with a good recommendation for a scan app that permit for quick and acurate scanning of business cards and event badge information into the salesforce org directly. Thank you

    If you want to scan business cards and event badges directly into Salesforce, I would look at Salesforce-compatible tools such as ScanBizCards or Lead Capture apps available through AppExchange. The important thing is checking how well they handle duplicate detection and field mapping before choosing one. For events, I would prioritise a tool that can scan offline and sync automatically once connected. A small test with your actual badges and cards is probably the best way to judge accuracy.
