Hi Nonprofit Trailblazers!
I am looking to connect with other
non-profits that do project-centric work.
At
Purple Heart Homes, we provide housing renovations and repairs for disabled Veterans. Each home repair job is tracked as an individual project.
We are currently revising many of our internal processes. We would love to connect with and learn from similar organizations about how you manage your
flow of financial information.
Specifically, we are curious to know:
- What data do you keep in Salesforce vs. your accounting system (or elsewhere)?
- What automation or integration points are working well for you?
- What processes or bottlenecks did not work, and how did you pivot?
If your non-profit manages project-based workflows and financials, please drop a comment below or connect with me directly. We would love to exchange ideas and share best practices!
Thank you for your insight!
@Cheryl Campbell We operate farmers markets have built out our Salesforce so that frontline staff enters data directly into Salesforce after each market and then submits that data for approval. Once our finance team verifies their numbers and approves that report, key data points are pulled into QuickBooks desktop. This ensures that our data matches up between the two systems and prevents us from needing to manually input that detailed data twice. I'm happy to chat more if this model might work for you.
