Resources from the EMEA Ask Me Anything (AMA) Session from the April 17, 2024

Here are some of the resources shared as part of the live EMEA Ask Me Anything Session

THANK YOU @Rebecca Heald and @Annakie Gammon for answering great questions and hosting a thoughtful conversation.

These live AMAs are not recorded to allow for open, honest conversations. Here are some written follow-up resources, as promised!

In PMM we have a service schedule which has changed setup sessions which appear to have a different time caused by the clock change at end of March - does Salesforce really not handle this?

  • The feedback here was Salesforce really does not 'automatically' handle this - however in this specific case maybe/maybe not - it needs testing to be sure that this is definitely the root cause, and then looking at how those sessions are created. If they are created by flow the time change may not have been taken into account during the build.

Struggling to report on GAUs

  • Org has GAUs setup for both Opportunities and Payments
  • Took a look at the NPSP data model - panel believe the GAU to Payments may be custom configuration
  • GAU NPSP documentation
  • Discussed the reporting requirements - suggested that a new report type may be required

Emails are now undeliverable from org wide email address - they didn't used to be - what changed?

Does Salesforce have an Excel Connector?

  • Free and Freemium products can be found on the AppExchange here
  • XL-Connector by Xappex offer nonprofits one free license

I’m using Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) and was wondering what the best way to track memberships

  • It looks like this was asked in the later AMER session also - and they appear to have had additional ideas to the EMEA group, so check that out! The thoughts at the EMEA session was open source commons and possibly PMM, dependent on requirements.
  • Join another Nonprofit AMA session, these are monthly! See next month:
  • 15th May, 10:00 am (London Time) - with hosts @Emma Keeling @Tracey Morris @Chris Harris

Thanks again to our hosts and everyone who attended! Hope to see you all again at a future session, see links in the group sidebar or above^
