Deploy and retrieve issue from Salesforce using Visual Studio

Question

write EPROTO 27580840:error:100000f7:SSL routines:OPENSSL_internal:WRONG_VERSION_NUMBER:../../third_party/boringssl/src/ssl/tls_record.cc:242:

I am able to clone from Bitbucket using VS.But when I try to deploy or retrieve from the org getting the above issue.

I have set the proxy in System variables.

I have added the Salesforce\CLI\bin,Git\bin,Git\cmd in the Path variable under System variables.

As recommended in https://trailblazers.salesforce.com/answers?id=9063A000000tGCTQA2 ,can you try modifying the “.npmrc” file to the user folder and adding the below entries.

sslVerify=false

strict-ssl=false

proxy=http:// proxy:8080/
