When I go to deploy to the Org, I am being told by an error message that, "The file or directory that you tried to deploy or retrieve isn't in a package directory that's specified in you sfdx-project.json file. Add this location to your "packageDirectorys" value, or deploy or retrieve a different file or directory.

I pasted the sfdx-project.json file. I am trying to deploy the default folder that is in the path force-app\main\deafult. Even if I try to deploy from the force-app, I still get the same error. I understand what the error is saying, but I don't understand why the error is happening.

I even tried adding force-app/main/deafult to the "path" value, and that didn't work either. Any ideas? I am using VSCode and I have updated my sfdx.

    Hi @Jordon Bigelow ,

I was getting the same error on retrieving the components from org. So i went to the actual package.xml file on my vs code ide and right click > SFDX:Retreive Source in Manifest from org and it worked. Then you can try the SFDX: Deploy this source to Org
