Anyone using QuoteWerks with Salesforce and using Salesforce Products?

We are using Salesforce and QuoteWerks.  Currently we are using products from QuoteWerks and writing the products from QuoteWerks to Salesforce.  But QuoteWerks can only write the following information to the Product2 file:  Product Name, Product Description, Product Code and mark it as Active.  We would like to have several custom field updated but QuoteWerks does not do that.  We are considering using the Salesforce Products to populate the QuoteWerks quotes.  I just wondering if anyone is currently doing this and if there are ant items we should be concerned about to make this change.
