I need brainstorming ideas.

Some of you may noticed that I stopped posting weekly at the Wizard news as far as blog posts go. When I was working as an admin I was able to share a lot of the cool stuff I was working on, or tricks I found trying to solve my problems.

Now that I'm a consultant, I have to be careful with what I share. Partly because it involves customer solutions and also in part because there are some company tips I don't feel comfortable sharing with.

This gets further compounded by the fact that I'm currently the sole content creator for our company blog. I don't want to be doing repeat posts. My plan was to use WizardNews for more detailed "How To" posts and keep the company blog higher up in the "cool ideas" or tips range without detailing how to do something.

All this leaves me with the quandary of writer's block. I have no idea what to write about for Wizardnews. I got about 36 topics for the company blog (whether I'm the right person to write them is a different question). But for Wizardnews I currently got bumpkiss.

I know there's other people in similar  boats (looking at you @Brent Downey ) how are you coming up with your ideas? got suggestions to get the brain grease working again?

I haven't read through the comments, but first thing that comes to my mind is to write on Salesforce current events, and break it down as easy reads. For example, I've written on how Salesforce is helping with Hurricane Harvey and then expanded on that news with resources and links to SFDC members who are coordinating their own relief efforts - and how to donate to them (http://salesforce.krusecollins.com/how-salesforce-is-helping-victims-of-hurricane-harvey/). Another post was on the new path to becoming a platform developer II. That's old news now. But look out on the news for things, for example, the new SFDC chatter desktop app for windows - that'd be cool to do a write up on!
