Hey all!

I just learned that Google Sheets connects directly with Salesforce!!!

In practice, I just downloaded a report in Sheets (in like 3 seconds), found some records I wanted to update, mapped the ID and DONE!

Chat, Collaborate, Comment, Filter, Historical Tracking, etc etc. It's Google Sheets + Salesforce!

    Hello!

I just made a connection myself. I was wondering how the data stream update works:

is it daily? is it in real time (when I make updates in the spreadsheet it automatically updates my data stream in the execution history?)

I couldn't find any documentation explaining that.

    Thanks!

Some questions for discussion:

1) What features have been/will be game changers for you? What processes improved the most?

2) What were the greatest challenges with user training and adoption?

3) What areas of the software required customization? Generally speaking, what's on your wish list for the future?

Does anyone know of an OCR (Optical character recognition) scanner that will scan data (particularly alpha-numeric serial numbers), where I can just scan and it will put the info directly into the Rootstock PO Receipt transaction S/N field without the need of Rootstock Mobile?  Just like I do today with a 2D Barcode Scanner, hooked directly to a workstation.  Thanks!

Has anyone found a work around for changing a RS Product type without creating a new SKU/product number?

I'd like to change some RS products from "stock" to "kit" and I don't want to create new SKU's which RS Support is telling me is the only way to do it.

I believe a data load, changing both the product group and product type together will work, ensure the new product group has a matching value for the product type.

Does anyone know how to programatically release held sales orders (Credit or otherwise) using sydata/soapi?

In some circumstances, you must hold a customer's order. For example, you might place a customer's order on hold for credit reasons. When the credit issue has been resolved, you use order releases to return the order to the processing cycle or to initiate the sales order process. Or, if you have held a blanket or quote order, you can create sales orders by releasing the blanket order or the quote order.

When the system places an order on hold, the order is taken out of the processing cycle. When you release an order, you return it to the order processing cycle.  Get in touch for business central implementation

Hello I'm currently evaluating Rootstock as a solution and I want to move away from Infor Cloudsuite.  We are small mfg company that builds CTO machines and Custom ETO machines.

Curious if anyone has anything they can share to help me with my discovery.  I've watched a webinar on Rootstock's webpage and I've started a discussion with their sales team.

Just wanted to get some firsthand accounts from folks here that are already on the platform.

Appreciate any insight and feedback.

That's great. That makes implementation a heck of a lot easier. Our small business implemented Salesforce in 2010 for front end sales and then quickly realized we shoudl consolidated our ERP into Salesforce to bring all of our data under one roof and one "tool" for consistent reporting methods and outputs.

Rootstock is robust and every manufacturing environment (make to order, make to inventory etc). There is a learning curve with any ERP but once you're over that hump, it's been smooth sailing for us.

The platform makes everything very flexible. So where there were liitations, we overcame it using my (point and click) admin skills or coding a solution--using my normal salesforce developers (that is KEY!).

I'm happy to go into more detail if you'd like or answer any specific questions.

Hello,

We are looking for a solution to integrate our SPS EDI solution with our Salesforce/Rootstock integration.  We are struggling to find the right path.  Does anyone have any first hand knowledge and experience with this use case?  Thanks!

How to access the rootstock success community?

Hey @Diana Moize

, referring to Communities/Portal or for internal management? I'm thinking both!

We've designed our own partner community - check this out for inspiration.

. The portal part is straight-forward, it's the user experiences that make life easier for your partners, that's a bit tricky.

Either way, if you need to get your bearings, I'm open for a chat.
