When looking at the data source tab of a report I don't own, that has an extract generated from Snowflake (using stored OAUTH credentials in the report owner's account), editing the connection, I see this:Why can't I see that Snowflake credentials are used? The owner of the report sees this:image.png

I spent a while wondering how this report was successfully updating without any credentials. Now that I know, I'll probably just ignore it, but that means I can't diagnose if that's the reason a report is legitimately not updating, without asking the owner (who may not be available) to check for me. That dialog will look the same to me whether there are stored credentials or not. Am I overcomplicating it (cos' I'd get some other extract error if there was, say, a query problem, so this would be the catch-all)?

I wonder if the same behavious happens:

    a. if you are granted the refresh extract permission:

    https://help.tableau.com/current/online/en-us/permissions.htm#allow-other-users-to-refresh-extracts

    b. Or if you are a project leader

Unfortunatelly, I have been sick, otherwise I would test myself.

If this post resolves the question, would you be so kind to "Accept this Answer"?. This will help other users find the same answer/resolution and help community keep track of answered questions. Thank you.
