Looking at turning on Einstein activity capture. Currently using Inbox without EAC licenses, in conjunction with Lightning Sync.
However if we move to EAC and then want to move back to Lightning Sync, is it possible?

For lightning sync no product enhancements are planned. So if you are old customer using ligthning sync then you should be still abe to do that but the recommendation is to move completely to EAC
