Duplicated records created with API Rest or Soap

Hello

We just realized that the objects created using the REST or SOAP API was created duplicated, Contacts or Custom objects.

For now, the way I have found to solve the problem is to create a duplicate rule to avoid creating the second duplicate instance, but I think the problem is at the API development level.

Anyone know why that´s happening?
