In Salesforce Quotes our "Sales Price" field is very unreliable. Sometimes it recognizes & takes into account the discount applied and sometimes it is not. I caught it on one of the quotes our sales reps made yesterday where on one quote it is List Price - Discount and on the other it remains list price.

I've been playing with my own custom fields but it's getting messy as it does not like the 'list price' field referenced in a summary roll-up field I wanted to use to calculate the total.

I can't imagine this is a Salesforce glitch but I also dont see how it isn't.. Has anyone ran into this or have a solution for accurate line subtotals and quote totals. Thanks in advance I really need to make sure this is reliable. (This is NOT CPQ)

Hi @Amanda M - Can you cross check weather the quote is synced to opportunity where the Sales Price field value differs.  Sales Price field hold the value of the price that you want to use for the product. Initially, the sales price for a product on an opportunity or quote is the product’s list price from the price book, but you can change it here. If a quote is synced with an opportunity, this field is updated from the quote line item to the opportunity product.

    Thanks!
