Gmail Integration not working as expected for user

Hi, 

We have Gmail Integration enabled in our SFDC org. Emails are logged automatically for users, however we have one user who has to manually log the emails & relate them to a record. I have checked the activity settings & my email to salesforce (automatically assign them to related salesforce records is enabled). Everything appears to be correct. Any ideas on what setting he may be missing?
