#Legacy Recurring Donation0 debatiendo

I wanted to poll anyone here for reasons you've seen or heard to NOT upgrade from "Legacy" Recurring Donations to Enhanced Recurring Donations.

Setting up for success would naturally mean using the tool that is being improved upon vs the one that's not. Documentation for the fundraising integration mentions modifying mappings if using ERDs, but that is all. So apart from that sort of thing, are there ANY reasons to not upgrade? We're not using the standard Payments object, in case that figures in.

Thanks in advance for insights.

From an admin/user perspective, we have not yet made the switch because we are nervous about breaking something that is currently working! We completed our donor database build and migration in 2019 shortly before Enhanced RDs was released, and we haven't budgeted for any consultant time this year, so it's on me to fix anything that breaks. It's on my task list, we're just not there yet. I need to reach out to @Ryan Ozimek and the Soapbox crew to make sure that it won't cause any issues with our donation platform 😅

Hi,

I'm trying to determine whether we want to use the Legacy Recurring Donation NPSP features or the new Enhanced version. The big concern I have with the Enhanced is it sounds like it will only create 1 donation/opportunity at a time. However, we want to include recurring donations/opps in the projections through the end of the Fiscal Year (which legacy allows us to do). Does Enhanced allow us to customize the number of opportunities created? Or will it only ever do 1 at a time?

Hello everyone,

When migrating recurring donation, I have recurring donation that started several years ago but for which I don't want NPSP to create all old Opportunities which are already closed. the Recurring Donations are still active so I can't put them on Closed.

How can I do this without having to delete all unnecessary opportunities afterwards?

Thank you for your help,

Gauthier
