Currently John Hopkins is in the process of preparing a new data source that will change the granularity of the data being reported globally, the United States will be aggregated into a single entity. They will additionally be providing a secondary data source with information about the United States at a finer level of detail. The transition between the old data format and the new one is underway but not complete. In the meantime we are working to combine data from the latest daily files and the time series files provided to give updated data for today's refresh.
