Salesforce associate or Salesforce Admin??

Question

I want to begin my career in Salesforce, I do have experience of working on other CRM and cloud platform. The reason for switching to Salesforce is growing demand for it and honestly I like the platform and feel I can better with it. Could you advise if I should be going for Salesforce associate or Salesforce admin?\

i would go associate then admin. associate is like a stepping stone to admin.

Thanks for your suggestions. If anyone could advise that after doing the certifications, do you believe it would be enough to land a job in Salesforce. Along with the certifications, are there any projects or anything related which could add more value to the CV. Any suggestions are welcomed!!
