I'm trying to make a validation rule for the Lead object. Here's my formula:

OR(         Country = US,         Country = USA,         Country = United States,         ISBLANK(Country),)

I also tried this way:

OR(         Country = US,         Country = USA,         Country = United States,         ISBLANK(Country))

It keeps telling me I have a parenthesis missing.

    Hi Hillel,

    The issue is with the way the text values are written. US, USA, and United States need to be in quotation marks.

    If Country is a text field, use:

    OR(

    Country = "US",

    Country = "USA",

    Country = "United States",

    ISBLANK(Country)

    )

    If Country is a picklist, use ISPICKVAL() instead:

    OR(

    ISPICKVAL(Country, "US"),

    ISPICKVAL(Country, "USA"),

    ISPICKVAL(Country, "United States"),

    ISBLANK(TEXT(Country))

    )

    Also, your first version has an extra comma after ISBLANK(Country), which will cause a syntax error.
