I am trying to brand a channel menu and embedded service deployment within a Salesforce Experience Site. I have loaded a custom logo and branded the service deployment and before initiating a chat, everything looks dandy:

Why does my channel menu/embedded service deployment have two buttons?

Although, when a user initiates a chat, the logo turns to black (and not in the good Rolling Stones way):

When I inspect the image, I learn that the image didn't turn to black, but a new black image appeared on top of the image I want. Additionally, the icon inside the new image isn't the one that I want. I found this out by removing all of its properties and making it look all weird:

I have no idea how to get rid of it. I've messed with the branding in embedded service deployments, channel menu, chat, all to no avail. I have found nothing about it in documentation either. Also, trying to target the image or classes in the Experience Site CSS doesn't work, either (or I'm not doing it right). What I'd really like is this to appear when somebody engages the channel menu:

Can anybody point me to where I might be able to adjust what's going on here?  Thank you much!

    Hello,

If you pop the Embedded Service Code on a new Visualforce Page you'd be able to determine what isn't working as expected here?

It could either be Experience Cloud adding it's own styling or the Channel Menu may not have the correct properties.

Are you able to try that to see what needs adjusting ?

    Thanks Tom
