Prepare as a Solo or Group Attendee
Attending Dreamforce for the first time can be somewhat daunting, but we have some tips to help you prepare whether you’re doing it on your own or with a group.
Flying Solo
Are you going solo to Dreamforce and need to make the experience a win for your entire company? Then set up pre-Dreamforce check-ins across your company to gather a wish list of meetings and learnings.
Make a Dreamforce game plan, and stick to it when possible. But be flexible—you don’t want to miss out on a spontaneous event with a new friend!
Speaking of new friends, look out for the Concert Buddies meetup hosted by the Trailblazer Community. It’s where you can meet up with fellow Trailblazers who are looking to walk over and enjoy Dreamfest together. We recommend you make some connections even before you get to San Francisco. The Trailblazer Community is a great way to meet other people attending alone. There are community groups for everyone.
Squad Goals
We have some advice to make even more of the event with the help of your crew.
Save big with group registration. Register a group of three or more, and unlock $999 passes. See the registration page for current pricing.
Once you complete your payment, you get access to a dashboard to easily invite team members and track their registrations, all in one place.
You’re all in this together, which means you don’t have to attend all the same sessions. Divide and conquer! Having your group attend different sessions lets you take in even more information and makes for great discussions when you meet up. But don’t steer clear of each other completely. In fact, it’s good to share and know each other’s schedules and plan to meet up for the social events at Dreamforce. (Dreamfest, anyone?)
Pack It Right, Pack It Tight
Here are some thoughts on what to pack for Dreamforce.
Shoes
Go for comfort. This is not the week to break in those new loafers or wear your snazziest high heels. Dreamforce involves a lot of walking and standing. Wear your most comfortable shoes. Let’s repeat that: Wear your most comfortable shoes.
Devices and Chargers
Decide which devices to bring. Do you really need a laptop? If you’re attending a workshop that requires it, then yes, you need your laptop. Otherwise, maybe you can get by with a smaller, lighter tablet or even just your smartphone. Charging stations are available at various locations around the Dreamforce campus. Bring your charging cables so you can power up throughout each day, or bring extra batteries.
Weather
San Francisco weather changes often. It can be sunny in the morning, chilly in the afternoon, and rainy at night. Or all three in the space of an hour. The answer is layers: clothes that you can easily put on and take off as the weather changes.
And while we’re talking about weather…
We all hope for amazing weather, but just in case, consider bringing an umbrella. The more compact and lightweight the umbrella, the better.
Water Bottle
While we have compostable cups across campus, the best way to stay hydrated is by bringing your own water bottle that you can refill at one of the water stations across Dreamforce.
Don’t Bring…
While we’re talking about what to bring, let’s talk about what not to bring. Meals and snacks are provided, so pack light on food. Remember, you get some sweet swag, and you need to store your Salesforce swag for your trip home! A simple backpack or shoulder bag is all you need. (Note: Bags cannot exceed 12" x 18" x 6" or they won’t be allowed in.)
The Salesforce Events app
As you might have pieced together already, the Salesforce Events app is your essential guide at Dreamforce. It’s more than just your typical conference app. Download it on your iOS or Android device to personalize your experience every step of the way. The app helps you build your agenda, navigate the campus, book meetings, access post-event recaps, stay connected throughout the event, and more. If you’re attending Dreamforce, the app is a must!

Get Answers Instantly
Everyone gets their very own agent at Dreamforce. Need help finding something or figuring out what’s next? Ask your AI-powered assistant, available right in the mobile app. Ask anything, from finding your next session to booking a consultation. Responses are tailored to your interests and event profile.
Perfectly Synced
If you build your agenda on the website, it syncs directly to the app on your mobile device.
Some sessions offer reserved seating, allowing you to secure your spot in advance. Others are first-come, first-seated. The app clearly labels both, so you know what to expect.
You can also sync your agenda with your Google, Apple, or Outlook calendar directly from the My Agenda page.
Navigate Onsite
Once you’re at Dreamforce, the app becomes your navigation hub. Use Interactive Maps to find your way around campus and get turn-by-turn directions to sessions, lounges, and activations. The Discover screen highlights recommended experiences throughout the day, while push notifications alert you to real-time opportunities like surprise activations or popup moments nearby.
Learn and Earn
For a fun way to explore, check out the Trailblazer Quest in the My Event section of the app. Quests are curated journeys through key event activities and sessions. Visit locations, complete tasks, unlock prizes, and learn something new along the way.
Continue the Experience
After Dreamforce, visit My Dreamforce Recap for a personalized summary of your experience. You get a list of sessions you attended, links to on-demand content, sponsor info, surveys, and AI-powered recommendations to help you continue your learning journey.
More Tips for an Epic Dreamforce

Plan for Downtime
Don’t pack your agenda to the gills! Leave space for downtime to mingle, relax, and enjoy. If you cram in too many sessions, you might burn out by day two. Instead, plan downtime to enjoy the Dreampark—a great place to chill in the sun and listen to music with your fellow attendees—or do whatever helps you refill your tank.
It’s OK to Not Do Everything on Your List
What if you plan for downtime, and still don’t make it to everything on your checklist? Don’t panic—the majority of sessions are recorded for your post-Dreamforce viewing pleasure. You can watch them on your couch, at home, while getting a foot massage (which you might need after getting in all your steps at the event).
Plan for Meals
No one is pleasant to be around when they’re hangry (hungry + angry), or when they’re dehydrated. Keep your friends and enjoy your sessions by making time to grab food and drink (on us!) during your busy day.
Don’t Carry More Than You Need
This isn’t the time or place to test your shoulder strength. You’re here to be inspired by visionaries, not to compete with your personal trainer. Pack as light as you can, and leave unnecessary items in your hotel room.
Plan Ahead with the Trailblazer Community
The Salesforce Trailblazer Community has online groups where you can access help, give feedback, ask questions, and collaborate with Salesforce partners, product specialists, employees, and other customers.
The Trailblazer Community is the heart and soul of the Salesforce ecosystem. Millions of people within the Salesforce community never make it to Dreamforce in person, but they still get to be part of the fun. This enables Dreamforce to happen all year long—the conversation doesn’t stop after attendees leave San Francisco.
If you can’t squeeze in everything during the jam-packed 3 days of Dreamforce, the same experts leading sessions at the conference are available in the community year-round. And guess what—they love answering questions and sharing best practices. Really!
Use the Trailblazer Community to Help with Dreamforce Prep
One of the best ways to make the most of the community is to network before the event. Not only can you bring those online connections to life at Dreamforce, but you can also continue the relationships after the conference without skipping a beat.
So how do you connect with the right people before the event? Look for the right groups to join! There are groups for everyone.
Find your local community group(s), and see which community members will be at DF26. Connect with them in person during the conference (pro tip: the Community Cove area in Moscone West, Level 2 is a great place to meet fellow community members), and keep the momentum going by meeting up again after you return home from Dreamforce. We have role-based and industry-based groups as well, so look out for your specialty.

Virtual Dreamforce Quests
Want a head start on the topics Dreamforce will cover? Be sure to check out Trailblazer Quests for the Road to Dreamforce Quest, which starts on August 1 and runs ’till Dreamforce Day 1. Then, look out for the Dream Quest, that highlights all of the newly announced features and content from Dreamforce 2026. This quest opens on Dreamforce Day 1 and runs through October 31.
Trailhead
Obviously, we love Trailhead, and you can expect to see a ton of badges available at Dreamforce. But why not get ahead of the pack? When you look at most sessions, you can see specific trails or badges that provide additional information about the topics at hand. Prepare yourself and earn more badges before arriving on-site. And hey, why not start your Agentblazer journey? And a friendly reminder, you can earn a Trailhead badge on-site at the Camp Trailhead area (Moscone West, Level 1) for a must-have prize, with expert guidance available. (Note: Shameless plug because the Camp Trailhead area is run by the Trailhead staff.)
