I am new to Salesforce Inbox with Outlook. Question about calendar syncing. So we are experiencing a lag time between syncing our event from our Outlook calendar to our Salesforce calendar. For instance, if we send an email with appointment date times and someone signs up, it populates in Outlook immediately, but we're experiencing a delay of 15-30 minutes into Salesforce. Any idea on what's going on there? #SFEmailSync

    Hi @Fong Chau the sync functionality does not happen in real time and there might be a delay depending on org size and traffic. If you want to take a better look at this it's best to open a support case.

I am currently testing the EAC and it seems like i have lost "enhanced email". Is this expected?

I have a hard time believing that to implement automation you loose the quality of the email record? Without enabling EAC you have high quality email message records thanks to turning on enhanced email but if you want them logged automatically, you just get the body and not further insights?

    @Makenzie Pavan

    I escalated the above and received confirmation the EAC does not create email message records. This is by design and will hopefully be "resolved" in a future release.

    This does not address reporting, correct? Does AWS push the activities to SFDC so we can use standard task/event reporting?

Product Question in regards to Einstein Activity Capture.

Lightning Sync does not support parallel sync of Google and Outlook ;

It’s  disabling one setup automatically when setting up a 2nd one.

Q1. Does Einstein Activity Capture support activity sync ( more precisely calendar sync ) in parallel for Google and Outlook ; Kind of hybrid mode Google and Outlook ; One user community using Google the  other one Outlook. One user is having only one email system.

Q2. As we use Lightning Sync with outlook for many many users in one org ; Will Einstein Activity Capture for Google work in parallel with existing Outlook sync. That's what we try to start up with.

Thanks Thomas

Does activity capture wipe out current activities on accounts and contacts and if so why?

How comes that 3th party companies succeed in having a nicely working product, with sidepanel,  while SFDC seems to struggle with this ?

    Regarding the shared mailbox with OI, I'm assuming you do not meet system requirements linked from our PM, Austin, in the Idea article? This went live in our recent Winter Release and is dependent upon our partnership and capability with Microsoft.

Having a problem with attachments not showing up in the object when using Outlook Plug-in since Winter 21 went live.  Anybody else having this problem?

    @Victoria Stoia Emails attaches to Files on Tasks are not showing up under the Attachments related lists. However, Files added to other objects (such as a custom object) do appear under the old Notes & Attachments related list. Is this a recent change/intentional to stop Files on Tasks from showing up under Attachments. @Rick Knapp Thank you for confirming what happened.

I see in the architecture diagram, events and contacts sync to AWS and then salesforce accesses it. Is there an option for Azure or GCP for staging/routing information?  #SFEmailSync
