Announcing: A New User Experience for Salesforce Developer Documentation

 

The Salesforce developer documentation team has been hard at work improving your experience, based on direct user feedback and testing. What's new?

Table of Contents (ToC)

  • New background and font colours
  • Increased the default Table of Contents' width and added text padding
  • Increased vertical density, allowing more Table of Contents items in the same space
  • Centralised all guide-level actions into Table of Contents, including the PDF download and language picker
  • Scroll bar appears only when it can be used
  • Extended Table of Contents to max vertical page space by limiting footer to content body

Version Picker

  • Added green and red badges to indicate Latest or Not Latest version
  • Added caret to indicate dropdown menu
  • Expanded seasonal release text to version number label

Document Header

  • New background and font colors
  • Changed selection indication element to more findable WES standard
