Hi All,

Question regarding the public Slack channel and the integration of the app for notifications. Unfortunately, we have encountered an issue where the notifications are not being successfully delivered to this specific channel.

Upon investigation, I found that the channel ID cannot be fetched, which seems to be the root cause of the notification problem.

However, I have performed a test by creating another channel with similar settings and added the app integration bot to it. Surprisingly, the notifications are working as expected in this new channel.

At this point, I'm unsure if there is anything specific that we might be missing in the configuration for the problematic channel. I would appreciate any insights or suggestions you may have to help resolve this issue.

Here are some of the public channels that I recommend:

    • #general: This is the default channel in every Slack workspace. It's a great place to share announcements, ask questions, and get to know other members of the workspace.
    • #help: This channel is a great resource for getting help with Slack. You can ask questions, get help with troubleshooting, and learn about new features.
    • #announcements: This channel is where workspace admins and owners will post announcements about upcoming changes or events.
    • #random: This channel is a great place to chat about anything and everything. It's a great way to meet new people and learn about different topics.

Whether you're showing off your pet, talking about buying a home, looking for a local restaurant to try in a new city, exchanging puns/jokes, or even celebrating a team member's accomplishments; what are some fun and social channels that have been added to your team's Slack workspace?

It’s just a channel about escape rooms and people that love them. I’ve seen Slack’s article about creating an escape room using workflows and think it’s a cool idea I want to try soon.

Our next ⌗datapluswomen event is coming soon on September 9th! This time it is all about ⌗Communication.

People talk weird at work. Think about it - when we’re chatting with our colleagues at the coffee machine (or in the #random channel on Slack), we generally use different words and phrases than when we’re in the conference room, walking those same colleagues through our Quarterly Results PowerPoint. Why do we feel like we need to sound ‘businessy’?

Our speaker Megan Preston Meyer will give us all our tips to make our communication more authentic.

Make sure to join us live so you can ask questions directly to our speaker. It will also be recorded and shared afterwards.
