Data Source Excel File with live connection - Tableau Server

Hi,

 

I have an Excel file located in a SharePoint Folder. I have uploaded the excel file as a data source in Tableau Server with live connection. When I add new data to the excel file, it does not reflect in the data source published in Tableau Server. Am I missing something?

    Hi Ester,

    If you are reading an Excel file from a SharePoint Folder with Tableau Desktop and publishing it to Tableau Server, you will need to publish the data source again even if you are using a live connection in order to add new data.
