I'm in the process of embedding Tableau dashboards into our company's internal portal using the Tableau JavaScript API. I've come across a challenge where I'd like to allow users to dynamically filter dashboards based on their profile data within the portal.
For instance, if a user belongs to the 'West Region' in our portal's user data, I'd like the dashboard to automatically display data pertinent to the 'West Region' upon loading.
- Can I achieve dynamic filtering with the JavaScript API?
- Any documentation or tips on this?
- Known limitations or challenges?
