
Hi All,
What is the easiest way to achieve this in tableau.
I have 1 dimension column call "Group ID"
The requirement is to set the back ground color of each row based on the group id,
Ex: If the Group Id=1, the back ground of the cells for that row should be Yellow.
If the Group Id=2, the back ground of the cells for that row should be Green, etc.
Please find the attached file for the workbook.

Hi Ratna,
Step 1 - drag group id to colour shelf
Step 2 - invert your data and uncheck 'show headers'
Step 2 - edit your label to align the data in the format you want
Step 3 - drag your measure (or number of records) onto marks card and assign to size
Step 4 - change marks to Bar
Step 5 - change size to max (so that it creates a colour line through the data
