A business unit is publishing excel files to sharepoint online that have macros in them. These excel workbooks have sheets that need to be published as data sources. It appears that macro enabled workbooks can't be published as a data source I can connect but no tables (excel tabs) are presented as options. When I try this with the same file but saved as regular workbook (not macro enabled) I can add the tab w/ data to publish.
Any suggestions for I can resolve this? The macros I'm told are needed for the files to be published to Sharepoint Online automatically.

Based on my understanding, you would need to strip all the macros from the sheet for tableau to recognise the tabs. One thing you can do would be to create a macro in the macro enabled file to just copy the data to a new excel file which will act as the source for your tableau workbook.
