I don't know if this is even possible and if it is I don't know how. if there is a different idea, then I am open to those ideas as well. What I want to do is to add some notes to my viz.
My project surrounds the idea of showing a budget for my organization. In this case, I am comparing travel costs versus estimated travel costs. That said the budget notes include when travel money was given, how much was given etc. They simply document the dates when there was a change of state to the money - kind of like a historical document.
My idea was to add a placeholder to the viz with the calculation = MIN(1) to create a continuous field and then add a mark to the viz like is show below. Then I thought I could bring out the note details via a viz in viz tooltip via this mark as I would add the notes contained in a spreadsheet and bring it in as a separate data source. The problem I am having is that I can't filter my notes with a this place holder.
So anyone else got a good idea how I might be able to go about doing this?
