Fairly new user and new to the forum, and I probably won't effectively pose this question, but here goes:
Is it possible to use a view as a filter when dealing with blended data sources?
Specifically, I have created a custom map from an Excel sheet and have created a relationship between data on that sheet and a different data source. Now I am trying (unsuccessfully) to use the map on a dashboard to filter other dashboard views that primarily have data from the other source. Any ideas on troublshooting, or directions to resources would be appreaciated.

you are running into an order of operations issue - Blending occurs at the worksheet level after all the dimensions in the underlying table for the sheet have been set and filter (think like a subset of the total data)
the data from the secondary source are then aggregated at the level of the link - further filter across the data sources is not possible
If you can use a join you would avoid the problem or is you are on 2020.2 and can use a relationship it may work but I would need to see the work book and the data to be of more help
