Hello everyone,

I have a dimesion where I am showing the median value of each segment using stacked bar chart. Now, my requirement is to show the overall median on top of the graph , but all techniques which I used making it to appear in middle of the bar . I am attaching a sample workbook creating the same issue.

Thanks you

So I’m currently unable to open the attached file, that my answer might be off the mark, but I hope it helps.

If you aren’t currently using a dual axis, you can display the overall median at the top of the chart by applying one.

Place two instances of the same measure field on the Rows shelf and combine them into a Dual Axis.

On the first Mark card (corresponding to the left pill), remove the dimension from Color, add a label, and set the aggregation to Median. The label should automatically appear near the top, but you can also try using a reference line if needed.

On the second Mark card, place Segment on Color to create the stacked bar chart.

Synchronize the axes. If both marks are set to bar charts, the first one (from the left pill) will be hidden neatly behind the stacked bar. If they use different mark types, you can adjust the size or opacity as needed.
