I have a filter that corresponds to 1 of 10 goals. Different survey questions are associated with each goal. The problem is that there are 3 different response options for the survey questions (i.e, one question may have responses on a scale of agree to disagree, while another has responses on a scale of frequency). Unfortunately, this results in my color legend having 12 colors. I only want the colors to display for the relevant question that is selected via the goal filter.

For example, I want to look at Goal 7a. I select that on the filter, and this displays survey question G. The response options for survey question G are (lowest 10%, below average, average, above average, and highest 10%). How can I get my legend to only display those relevant response options?

I assume that through some kind of calculation or another filter, I can make this happen. I am using 10.1.1.  Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Good news, my colleague Ken Flerlage helped me out with this one. We reorganized my entire data set so that there was a row for every question and potential answer and made an "Answer" dimension. Now my color legends accurately reflect the relevant response options.
