Can someone clarify the $2 per conversation mentioned by salesforce? Does this apply to each prompt or to an entire interaction, which may include multiple messages in case of a chat though chatbot.

Secondly, what if sales people are using agentforce within the salesforce org for their day to day work what would happen in that case.

Third, I have heard Agentforce can do things like writing emails, suggesting knowledge articles etc. How the pricing would look like in this case.

Indeed, that’s correct—it’s $2 (list price) per conversation per 24-hour period. The 24-hour window starts when the agent initiates the conversation (i.e., the first actual interaction, not the welcome message).

For live chat, the 24-hour rule does not apply. This is more relevant for platforms like SMS, WhatsApp, and Messenger, where conversations can have pauses. In these cases, the 24-hour window starts and ends based on the conversation’s activity. If the same customer starts a new chat within the same 24-hour period after the previous one ends, it’s considered a new conversation.

It’s also important to note that a conversation starts and ends when there’s a transfer between agents. For example, if an AI agent transfers a chat to another AI agent, this counts as two separate conversations.

The $2 price includes 200 AI credits, but keep in mind that longer or more complex LLM (Large Language Model) queries may use more tokens, and additional tokens will incur extra costs. The same applies to Data Cloud tokens used for retrieving, querying, or indexing data.
