The ability to transiently elevate a user's permissions in the context of a given user mode SOQL query or DML operation makes a lot of sense, especially if Salesforce are heading towards Apex running user mode by default and particularly for App Exchange/managed package development. I had hoped to see this coming towards GA, but the most recent material I can find is still the Developer Preview announcement from Winter '24.
Is there a plan to bring this to GA any time soon?
