I'm about to embark on a situation where we want to allow duplicate leads. One person, John Doe is interested in two properties. The properties are owned and managed by different people so we cannot have the information from one property see the other. If we take out all lead duplication controls this can get messy very quickly. Right now they are coming from Pardot but Pardot allows the first one for the one property but blocks the second.
Right now we are thinking of general options such as using a flow to check for duplicates, create a custom object, or push them right into Opportunities and not use the Leads object but I want to know if someone else has already successfully done this. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

My first thought when reading was to move them over to account and contact then have different opportunities. Then i got to the last paragraph and it looks like you were thinking the same thing. That is what i have done in the past. We sell machines that are verry differen and software so we had the same problem and went the rout of converting them a bit earlier. having the same person with the same email as two different people would be overall really messy and could run into problems down the road.
