Hello LiveAgent experts. This is a question about customising the snippet settings file...the js file that an Embedded Service Deployment spins up.
This document implies that when these files are used on a community (aka experience) site that the following syntax should be used: embedded_svc.snippetSettingsFile
It's also referenced here, and also in the context of community cloud sites.
This bit of documentation uses a different syntax, but it does not state a specific context. And, the js file that the Embedded Service Deployment spins up uses it as well. The syntax is embedded_svc.settings
Am I supposed to infer from this that anytime we embed chat on a Community cloud site that embedded_svc.snippetSettingsFile should be used, and anywhere else embedded_svc.settings should be used?
Does anybody know what happens when embedded_svc.snippetSettingsFile is used somewhere other than a community site? Thanks!!
I opened a ticket with salesforce support. They said that 'snippetSettingsFile' should only be used on community cloud implementations. Every where else you should use 'settings'
