I'm using chatter for the first time.
I wanted to let a user know about a specific Report that they should take a look at. So...
* I enabled feed tracking for the Reports object, on Report name. The chatter icon appeared on that report page, great.
* I '@' mentioned the user in my chatter post explaining why I want them to look at the report. They received the chatter post in their feed, great.
* The next day, I logged in and looked at my chatter feed from my Home page. My chatter post was not in my feed n the Home page. I visited the report page for the above-mentioned report, and there it was.
* I visited My Settings-->Chatter-->My Feeds, and checked 'Automatically Follow Records That I Create'. I also clicked 'Follow' in the feed for that report. After a minute, my post appeared by my Home page feed.
My question:
* What I really want is to see all posts that I make, from any record, not just records that I create (including especially Reports), on my Home page, to get a 'bird's eye view' of my communications to various users. Is there some other Chatter setting I need to set in order to achieve this?
Thanks much. Seems intuitive, but I am having a hard time grasping when different users see vs don't see chatter posts in their feed on different pages.

You're getting it. If you are a member of a group, you'll be notified of posts from that group, and if you follow someone they'll appear on your "what I follow" feed. You can also post to a specific group by using the to: option at the bottom of your publisher just like in POU.
