I have a single Campaign record type that I created once as an experiment. I am trying to remove it. To do so, I am first setting record assignments for each profile one by one to default to Master rather than to my old record type. When I try to do this for a profile that is not sysadmin, I get a very long "Please fix the following message" that starts with:
"Permission Deploy Change Sets depends on permission(s): Modify All Data, View All Data
Permission Deploy Change Sets depends on permission(s): Create C&P Data Batchs, Create Engagement Plans, Create Engagement Plan Tasks, Create Engagement Plan Templates, Create Levels, Create NPSP Data Import ..."
I don't use change sets at all for any profiles.
What should I do?
Are you using the new style profile editor or the old one? If using the new, briefly switch back to the old style editor, edit the profile, and make sure "Deploy Change Sets" isn't checked on that page.
The new profile editor has all the different perms on different pages, so if the profile is somehow corrupt, it will fail to save unrelated changes. Since the old style profile editor is just one big edit button, it usually handles things like this.
