We have a custom object (Attendees). I want to send an HTML email to each Contact, triggered by either the new record or a checkbox or when a 'Survey Link Sent Date' field is populated. I have read many threads and documentation, but I am still not sure if this is possible, or how it can be done in LEX. I can, of course, create the HTML email template in Classic and use Workflow rules, but is there no way to do this in LEX?

It is called classic email templates, but it still possible in lightning.
I have not yet explored the new lightning email templates.
