Hi all, I'm looking for direction and best practices around a date/time field.  I have a user wanting access to classic so they can simply copy and paste a date/time values in to a set of fields.  As you may be aware the Date/Time field in LEX is split into two entries, Date // Time. In LEX you can't paste the entire value into the field you have to put the date in one and the time in the other.

One solution I am considering is to make another field that is just text and a Process Builder that puts that text into the date/time field.  There are several date/time fields on this layout, so I would be adding one of these entry fields for each.

Does anyone have another solution or idea?

Thanks,

Ben

    Agree with @Michelle Hansen

. Strongly advocating for option A. This user should be gaining efficiencies elsewhere in Lightning and can learn to adopt this one change.

Adding in automation for such a singular purpose seems like a poor use of your time. Also, the text fields are a bad idea (think of the reporting relevance of these fields).
