How do I build an Activity report that includes any emails sent from within Salesforce?

Question

Intermediate user... In sending emails from within (or even externally) Salesforce, they show up on the Activity feed, but I can't get them to show up in Activity Reports. For some reason they don't count as Tasks or Events? We're using G-Suite and SF Inbox, on the Enterprise Edition... I'm trying to build out a report/dashboard that will actually show productivity (including emails!), without having to double-log things. Any ideas?

This feature is needed and i see so many salesforce users asking for it.
