Mailchimp integration

Question

I would like to integrate the Mailchimp app to Salesforce. I want to understand why would it be ideal (better) to integrate with SF (Rethink) campaign feature. I though it would be enough to use mailchimp from within SF. I understand new emails are added automatically. Any other suggestions welcome. We've been using SF for about 3 months and it's a monster (to learn all the features). Is the free version of MC good?
